Dayne is what you might call "a child of adversity". Growing up in an abusive broken home, he learned at an early age how to channel his pain into creativity. Expressing himself through poetry that would eventually develop into his song writing ability. Raised in Chicago, he cut his teeth in everything from rap battles, to cyphers, to impromptu county jail freestyle sessions. He developed a modest but devoted following.

But it wasn't until he moved to San Diego that his talent became his craft. Once there he finally had the opportunity to collaborate with other like-minded artists and producers and hone his skill. He released several projects independently and began to gain momentum and a loyal fanbase. Now in LA he has been cast in numerous HBO and Netflix series including Ballers and On My Block. As a solo artist he has released the Bars EP, a slew of singles and music videos. Currently, working on several new releases and a few deep house remixes slated for summer release it's safe to say it has been quite the road for Dayne the Gr8. But it's like he often says, "Greatness is a journey".
